Just a heads-up to say that I’m currently doing yet another internship. This time at one of Europe’s largest design agencies, Designit. So, until august this year I am part of large, diverse team at the Aarhus-branch.

In cooperation with the committee at a student housing in Aarhus I have done part of the interior design (primarily furniture) for a new common house. The house serves both as a venue for parties and as a place for study.
Balancing between quality and cost the chosen furniture is a blend of Ikea lighting, chairs and folding tables from Four Design and RBM and sofas from Ilva. The colour cues are obviously inspired by the building itself (red, grey and black). The warm red drapes can be drawn to created a more intimate atmosphere and improve acoustics.
…to realization. The project “Holdepunktet” has now been realized in cooperation with the Municipality of Aarhus. A total of nine announcement board systems have been installed at two nursing homes in the northern part of Aarhus. They have not been put fully to use yet – that will hopefully happen in the new year. Have a look below (slightly shaky phone-photo, better photos pending…):
Happy holidays!
It’s quiet around here at the moment and there is a reason for that: currently I am doing a four-month internship at the internationally acclaimed Danish design studio Jacob Jensen Design (of B&O fame), situated in a secluded and beautiful part of the Danish countryside. Please read more about Jacob Jensen Design and the Jacob Jensen Brand by following the links.

Nestor is a concept for at compact induction cooktop. The controls are designed with elderly and disabled in mind. Nestor can be placed where it is convenient for the user and take up little space on the kitchen countertop when not in use. The pot and pan is specially designed for the cooktop. The pan can be used as a lid for the pot (see rendering above) and in this way Nestor can be used as a induction kettle as well.
